Education Committe Meeting Notes, January 2023 - Sam Glenn, Chair

The Education committee is working on new social media marketing for our classes, creating graphics to make them stand out more. It will also be creating a  'What is CMAS?' piece for the community and buyers/sellers, to by posted on the various local neighborhood Facebook pages and Instagram (Certified Mountain Area Specialist designation). Completion of this designation gives REALTORS® a much greater understanding of issues that might arise with the sale of mountain properties, through education provided by local experts. Please refer to the Education tab on this website. Also, we have received a new Zoom microphone that should be able to minimize background interference during our zoom classes.

We are finalizing our class schedule through March.

Education Committee Meeting Notes, December 2022 - Sam Glenn, Chair

The Education Committee is focused on better marketing our classes and CMAS designation. We are working through how to give the best experience to Realtors on our Zoom classes and working on our calendar through next spring. One challenge is increasing registration for our lunch and learn classes which have valuable information but don't offer CE credits. It depends on the content, but much of it may be covered in individual brokerages. We are also in the process of increasing our CMAS offerings.

Education Committee Notes, October 2022 - Sam Glenn, Chair

Education Committee has started planning for 2023. We are unsure about continuing Lunch & Learns, but are testing out November and January to see what engagement looks like. Non-CMAS CE classes and CMAS classes have been scheduled through the end of the year, working on Q1 scheduling now. Evergreen Lutheran Church has been a good option for large groups, but need to test out new A/V equipment in that location.
