Each year over 200 Colorado REALTORS® meet
at the State Capitol to learn and discuss the
important policy issues affecting the real estate
industry. REALTOR® Day at the Capitol is a great
opportunity for you to:

CAR
request -
The
Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) is seeking
2-3 spokespersons from each district who is
interested in helping articulate quarterly
residential market updates to area REALTORS®,
local media and the public. CAR and EREC will
provide training once spokespersons are chosen.

SAVE
THE DATE! It's time for another
Mountain Metro Association of Realtors RAAD event.
Please join in the fun at The Bistro in
Marshdale (off of Hwy 73, at 27376 Spruce
Lane,Evergreen) Wednesday January 25th
from 4:30pm - 6:00pm.
The RAAD event
is Realtors and Affiliates After Dark getting
together to network and have a good time. In the
past we have had two of these events per year.
This fiscal year we have committed to doing one
event per quarter. The goal is to go back and
forth between the Conifer and Evergreen area so we
can try to get everyone to participate. This is
the first RAAD of the calendar year and it is sure
to be a great time. Don't miss out on all the

The
Division of Real Estate is seeking information on
experiences with Appraisal Management Companies
As
a result of the Dodd-Frank Act, state appraiser
boards will be required to regulate appraisal
management companies. As Colorado
contemplates this regulation, the Division is
seeking information regarding individual
experiences with appraisal management
companies. If you would like to participate,
please tell us about the experience you have had
with appraisal management companies by responding
to amc.feedback@dora.state.co.us
If
possible, please include your name and telephone
number so that we might be able to follow up with
you if necessary. Your name and phone number will
not be shared with anyone else without your
permission.
Your
input and experiences with AMCs is needed as
Colorado determines the impact of federal
regulation of the real estate industry in
Colorado.

 NAR Ethics on March 7th
with Rohn Goldstein. Rohn is the Association
Executive from our partner association, SMDRA.
As a former Realtor, hear Rohn's witty and
entertaining perspective for your 4 hour NAR
course. This course must be taken ONCE every 4
year period. If you have not taken it between
January 1, 2009 and now, you need to take it
before Dec. 31, 2012. Call MMAR if you don't
know when you last completed the course.

Celebrating
17 years living in the foothills Phil remains
committed to his community, has served on the
Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce as a board
member and Treasurer, and continues to make
contributions of time or funding to support more
than 15 local charitable/community groups who
directly provide benefits to foothills
residents. Personally, Phil, his wife Shela,
daughter Amelia Jae and 2 labs are living the
dream just outside the small community of
Pine. In his spare time Phil escapes by
playing disc golf, snowboarding at Keystone,
flying stunt kites, enjoying music, building
tree houses and disc golf courses, and doing
just about anything to run alongside AJ, our 8
year old daughter. Sometimes he works on his own
house, but most of the time he prefers to keep
