A MESSAGE FROM YOUR AE
 OK, it's a bit cheesy but I thought my 8 week
old puppy, Pepper, would get your attention. Yes, she sometimes has
better hair days than me!
Our main method of communication to
our members is through this, our monthly newsletter and our website www.mountainmetro.com. I have been your AE
for one year! What a busy year and it does not ever slow down. Read
below about the success of our second year of CMAS classes and all of
the initiatives related to the Inaugural. If you have suggestions
about the newsletter format, would like it to be on paper rather than
via email...let us know.
We are now at 219 REALTOR® members
and 36 Affiliate members. Looking forward to another great
year.

UPCOMING EDUCATION CLASSES & EVENTS
9/9: NAR Ethics class , 9 am - 1 pm,
4CE - Alice Carmody (our own MMAR member),
Instructor. $50 at MMAR. Alice brings this class to life!
9/30: 45TH Annual Inaugural Celebration, at the Evergreen
Lake House. Final round of "Are You Smarter Than Your Broker"
contest, canned Food Drive, cocktail hour, dinner & dancing!
$35/person. Best Inaugural in town!

MMAR INAUGURAL - SEPTEMBER 30TH
Mark your calendar for Thursday, September 30th for
our annual Inaugural event at the Lake house. Invitations will be
mailed soon!
- Sponsorship
Opportunities: Tupper Briggs has initiated a
sponsorship challenge! Tupper will match any other
individual or team (no companies with over 5 brokers) up to $500
if they contribute $500. If you are interested in
sponsorship of the event please contact the MMAR office. There
are Sponsorship packages of varied amounts - this year includes
your name in the program, banner or website.
- Food Drive: We collected so many shoes
last year! This year we will have a canned food drive.
Collection boxes will be placed in your office by the Inaugural
committee or you can bring your donation to MMAR or to the
Inaugural. This will support our local food banks.
- Our
Community Outreach project this year is the "Are
You Smarter Than Your Broker" Contest. We will have the final
"round" of this contest at the Inaugural. Watch for
upcoming emails about the contest.

CMAS - CERTIFIED MOUNTAIN AREA
SPECIALIST
 On Tuesday August 10th
and Wednesday 11th, we held our CMAS designation program. We graduated
30 Realtors this year and many MMAR members took individual classes
too. Attendees were from all around Denver and even Winter Park.
We will be sending the certificates for
these classes. Please keep track of your education certificates
and CE credits.

for initiating the CMAS program and coordinating and marketing it for
this year.

for arranging all of the Instructors for the course.
Tom Hushen
for creating the CMAS website.
& All the other MMAR
members who worked tirelessly to make CMAS a
continuing success.

ANNUAL DUES
Your annual dues invoice has been mailed to your
current mailing address that we have in the MMAR database. We are
offering a new 4 month dues plan for credit cards - automatic dues
payments on August 15, September 15, October 15 & November 15th.
Dues amount is the same as last year $494 (NAR, CAR &
MMAR). Please call the MMAR office with any questions. Dues
deadline is November 15, 2010 for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.

announces the latest addition

MMAR members - Angela & Julia Leider
|
and
future FIRE Inc. talent.
Angela and Julia Leider were born at Swedish Medical Center in
Englewood on 7/3/2010 at 18:03 and 18:04 pm at 3 lbs 9 oz and 2 lbs 15
oz., at 31 weeks, after a 5 week hospital bedrest and a long sensitive
pregnancy.
The girls are now 36 weeks -or 5 weeks old and weigh 5 lbs 12 oz and 4
lbs 12 oz. Both are healthy and are doing well.
They are expected to come home from the NICU within the next 1-2 weeks.
Since we will be on the go 24/7 for a while (at least for the next 3
months), until we figure things out, I would like to ask members to
email instead of call- to ensure a timely response. Phone calls will be
the last to be returned. I appreciate your understanding during
this time of "expansion".
